who is she?

Devika Sharma, received her first BSc (major Biology) from Simon Fraser University and earned her second BSc (major Dietetics) from the University of British Columbia.

 

During her time at Simon Fraser University, she obtained her health and fitness certification, which was geared towards nutrition for fitness and sport, and exercise health and performance. This then lead her to become a research assistant at the University of British Columbia and contributor to multiple published papers.1

 

She is the published author of “Macro Cookbook for Beginners: Burn Fat and Get Lean” which has sold over 10,000 copies in North America. Her book has helped hundreds of individuals understand macronutrients for optimal body function and weight goals.

 

As a social media content creator and educator, she has worked with multiple companies such as Oikos Canada, Bob’s Red Mill, California Strawberries, Paderno, Eggs Farmers of Canada, Becel and Sunrise Tofu, to support a healthy lifestyle and balanced nutrition.

 

She has provided educational sessions on various topics (e.g. fueling for exercise, meal prepping, weight management, macro and micronutrients) for multiple companies and teams like Young women in Business Vancouver, HSBC, Colliers, Fraser Health Authority, and Wellness TV 4 U.

She recently launched maekabox, the one and only marked and measured bento box that helps with portion control (patent pending). This box has helped individuals meet their macronutrients (carbs, protein, healthy fat) and energy goals.  

 

She currently holds a position as a clinical dietitian and is the founder of One More Bite Nutrition (a Vancouver based nutrition consulting company) that aims to provide accurate dietary information to help individuals meet their nutrition, hydration and weight goals.
